Howdy!
I’m a UX designer with a people-first mindset and a deep love for thoughtful, empathetic design. I recently graduated from General Assembly’s UX Design Bootcamp, where I was proud to be voted “Best Storyteller” by my peers. My work is grounded in curiosity, care, and a (borderline obsessive) attention to detail. My aim is always to craft experiences that are intuitive, inclusive, and genuinely useful.
Before UX, I led teams in the hospitality industry, where I helped drive best-in-company year-over-year sales growth and achieved the lowest staff turnover across 70+ locations. That experience sharpened my skills in leadership, customer experience, and human connection. I also hold an Honours Business degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, which helps me bring strategic thinking and a balanced perspective to every design challenge.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me exploring Alberta’s wild landscapes with my Sony camera—or when the harsh Canadian weather doesn't permit–tinkering with my custom PC build, playing a narrative-strong video game, or trying an ambitious new recipe.
Looking forward to chatting with you!
Sam
